House RulesThe 10 Commandments || Character Creation || Game Mechanics || Classes || General Skills || Weapon Mastery || Magic & Spells || Equipment The rules provided here are supplimental to those found in the boxed sets edited by Frank Mentzer and the Rules Cyclopedia by Aaron Allston. The rules are concise enough that if you already know how to play classic D&D, this website is all you will need to continue playing with my modifications. However, if you are unfamiliar with this edition of the game, you will need to purchase a copy in order to utilize the information presented here. For the most part, I use the rules presented in the BECMI boxed sets, the Rules Cyclopedia, the Gazetteers, the Hollow World boxed set, and Wrath of the Immortals boxed set. The newer rules replace older ones, for example, if WotI presents one rule, and the RC presents a different rule on the same subject, the WotI rule applies. All of this is, of course, supplanted by any rule presented here--most notably the difference in prices for equipment, the simplified "estimated encumbrance" rule, and the use of spell points. |
